The number of people falling behind in their mortgage repayments also fell by a considerable amount.

The number of owing at least two months mortgage payments was around 194,600.Accounting for 5% of their total mortgage, down from 204,200 recorded at the end of June.

The supply has increased quite slowly, as the number of new houses being built is relatively a small number. The obviious result of the change in demand for houses, is an influencial factor in determining the price of housing. A small rise in demand will cause a significant rise in price.
